Important Dates:

   

• FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid form that determines eligibility for student financial aid for college, career school, or graduate school. The FAFSA application is anticipated to open in December for 2023. The close date is to be determined. Additional information will be shared once released. Home | Federal Student Aid

• Common App Opens August 1st – schools set application deadline per Early Action or Regular Decision. The Common Application helps streamline the college admissions application process for you by providing a one-stop site to apply to over 900 colleges. https://www.commonapp.org

• Common Black App – Opens August 1st  - schools set application deadline per Early Action or Regular Decision. The Black Common Application helps streamline the college admissions application process by providing a one-stop site to apply to over 54 HBCUs. https://commonblackcollegeapp.com

• DC TAG - DC Tuition Assistance Program (DCTAG) is for college-bound District residents to apply for funding from the District of Columbia’s Tuition Assistance Grant (DCTAG). DC Tag offers tuition assistance that covers up to $10,000 towards the cost of attending a public college/university and up to $2,500 to attend a private college/university. Application opens February 1. https://osse.dc.gov/dctag

• DC-CAP Last Dollar Award – District of Columbia College Access Program. This is a first come first serve application for student in the District of Columbia.  The award covers up to $4,000 to assist with unmet financial need. Applications are submitted after the completion of    FAFSA and DC TAG, closes May 31. https://dccap.org
